Google Wave

Noticed this seemed to be a big thing on Twitter at the moment thought I would share the link.

Google Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.

Thought this could be interesting to use in a school environment?

What do you guys think about it?

Thanks for posting this Tom. I thought YouTube videos were limited to 10 mins? This one was an hour and a half! I only managed about 40 mins but it all looks pretty great. I like the idea that email existed before the web and so exists within a pre-web paradigm. The real time element of a wave looks really cool, especially for sharing images and collaborating on documents. When is it due to hit our screens do you know?

Google own youtube so I guess they bend the rules :D. - Not sure when it is due to hit our screens I have requested the preview access, and will beg for a BETA,Preview invite :D.

This is the link where you can get an invite when they become available will have to keep waiting but looks rather exciting! - https://services.google.com/fb/forms/wavesignup/
